BENSALEM, Pa. — The 19th annual Hoophall Classic, a five-day fix for hoopaholics in January, will be an instant classic, featuring several teams that are expected to appear in the Blue Star Media Elite 25 boys’ basketball preseason rankings plus future NBA players.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the field of teams and game schedule for the 2020 Spalding Hoophall Classic presented by Eastbay, in Blake Arena on the campus of Springfield College Jan. 16-20 in Springfield, Mass.

This year’s marquee matchups include Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.) vs. Sierra Canyon School (Chatsworth, Calif.); DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) vs. Rancho Christian School (Temecula, Calif.); Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.)vs. Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas) and Montverde (Fla.) Academy vs. IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.). The latter matchup will feature the Elite 25’s top-two preseason teams. All games on Jan. 17 feature matchups between local and instate girls’ teams.

Over the past 18 years, Hoophall Classic spectators have been treated to more than 100 future NBA players and an abundance of rising talent, including NBA superstars Anthony Davis (2011), KevinDurant (2006), Kyrie Irving (2010), Ben Simmons (2015) Jayson Tatum (2016) and Zion Williamson (2018).
