OREGON CITY Oregon–The 37th Annual NIKE “End of the Trail” attracted 220 teams from ten different states, as well as Canada.  Using tournament brackets allows easy following by the college coaches and each team is guaranteed four games.  This West Coast tournament showcases a lot of the top talent from the North and Western part of the United States.  The tournament used ten different locations with 20 activity courts.  Here are some of the athletes who caught our eye last week in Oregon City.

Cameron Brink – 2020 – 6-4 – Power Forward – NW Stars 2017 –Length allows her to block a ton of shots…Plays with back to basket, as well as facing up…Long body, but due to age strength is a little weak…Shows good skills on the block

Aaliyah Collins – 2021 – 5-5 – Point Guard – Seattle Future 2021 – Handles well…Drives with a purpose…Small due to age…Strong three point shot…Good quickness allows her to defend anyone

Zaria Glover – 2022 – 5-11 – Forward – East Bay Swag 2022 –Athletic and very aggressive for age…Rebounds with a high motor…Demonstrated the three ball…Age presents a big upside

Kendra Griffen – 2021 – 6-3 – Post –  Seattle Future 2021 – Long and lanky body…Runs court well…Can face up and knock down 15 footer…Will post up…Rebounds well…Upside is huge

Trista Hull – 2021 – 5-11 – Forward – HD Basketball White –Presents a great body…Demonstrated a strong three ball…Will play with back to basket…Ability to go coast to coast

Emily Jones – 2021 – 5-7 – Point Guard  – BullDawgs Basketball Black –Quick with great ball handling skills…Can score…Showed a strong three point shot…Willing to defend

Ila Lane – 2019 – 6-4 – Post – Peninsula Elite 17 –Great body…Rebounds with authority and desire…Drives from high post…Nice shot from 15 feett…Deceiving quickness

Natalie Lathrop – 2021 – 6-1 – Forward – Oregon Elite Black –Versatile athlete…Very advanced skill level for age…15 footer is smooth…Due to age needs to age strength

Regan Schenck – 2018 – 5-7 – Point Guard – Way to Win Gold – Strong built body…Runs the team well…Has three point stoke…Sees the floor…Advance skill going to rim…Will defend with pride

Jazmyn Stone – 2012 – 5-4 – Point Guard – FOH Seattle Team O’Hea –Great quickness…Handles the ball well…Three point shot is strong…Undersized due to age

Bobbi Morse came on board with BlueStar in 2014 after completing a nearly 25 years as both a head and assistant coach. Her most recent stop at Washington University – St. Louis included five conference titles, eight NCAA appearances and a NCAA Division III National Championship in 2010. Her accomplished coaching career began at Kaskaskia College in 1986. Along the way she’s had successful stops at the University of Missouri – St. Louis, University of Missouri – Kansas City, the University of Nebraska and Rhode Island. Professionally she served as part of the staff of the American Basketball League’s San Jose Lasers as well as WNBA’s Utah Starzz. A 1985 graduate of Eastern Michigan University, she now calls the state of Florida home.
