BALTIMORE, MD – It’s sometimes hard to believe that this has been the first “normal” spring of club basketball in three years. But as the season carries on, we start to see some old stops and favorites resurfacing, which has many of us smiling for sure.
One such event that found itself back on the beautiful campus of McDaniel College in the suburbs of the Charm City is USJN’s East Coast Clash. A nice two-day slate of games gave teams from Virginia to Massachusetts a chance to come in and refine their skills a couple weeks out from the first NCAA Live Period, with the May period on the near horizon. As always, there were plenty of non-DI coaches on hand for the event, too.
In honor of Mother’s Day Weekend, here’s a bouquet of a baker’s dozen players who blossomed in their performances here at the Clash. Let’s get to it.
Kayla Fletcher – 2026 – 5-8 – Point Guard – Mid Penn Motion – Flashing some explosion off the dribble…Effective getting by people…Can get out and pester, contain the ball defensively
Anya George – 2025 – 5-7 – Guard – PA Team ELITE – Defensive output is there…Pursues loose balls and bad passes with vigor…Shows ability to score and distribute off the dribble…Nice euro finishes punctuated by the inside hand scoop finish…Makes use of the bounce passes in transition with either hand
CiCi Hernandez – 2024 – 5-7 – Guard – Philadelphia Belles – Plays at her pace off the dribble…But it’s the shot to really watch out for…Made shots from all over the court…Silky smooth pull up J…Leads players with passes toward the basket
Addison Levensten – 2026 – 5-8 – Guard – Lady Runnin Rebels – Super impressive watching her rattle off the first six, eight points of games on her own…A three level scorer already, and particularly lethal with the jumper all over the floor…Pull up is fluid and very advanced…Feeds her posts
Sarah Link – 2023 – 5-11 – Forward – PV Thunder – Strong…Handles it like a guard…At her best off the attack…Changes pace and direction well in open space…Will post up some…Did hit a trail three so expanding her range
Alivia McCaskell – 2026 – 5-8 – Guard – York Bombers – Patience and control with the ball in her hands for a middle schooler…Will pull it back and survey the situation…First step is good…Made runners with either hand and scored contested lay ups
Reece Meckley – 2026 – 5-9 – Wing – PA Chillies – Plenty of deflections with this length she has…Led to lots of lay ups on the other end…Should keep growing and has a skillset to play the wing…Finds open teammates who are on the move with accurate passes…Potential
Taylor Moran – 2025 – 5-10 – Wing – Black Rock Fury – Lanky kid with some handles playing out on the wing…Sets the table for others…Can do some things with the ball in her hands…Adding a mid range game
Kyraha Parnell – 2024 – 6-3 – Wing – Lady Copperheads – Can’t miss her out there at 6’3…Long for days…Nice job playing straight up defensively and altering shots…Quick catch and attack without much delay…Also shoots the three…Didn’t get bugged much when D was in her face…Plays stronger even than she appears
Rhian Stokes – 2024 – 5-7 – Combo Guard – Philadelphia Belles – Athletic combo…A straight up warrior on D…Can really heat up the ball handler…Likes to get out to the races in transition…Hits the gas pedal to the rim often and scoops it up and in…Stock should rise with the temperature this summer
Avery Tanis – 2025 – 5-9 – Guard – Lady Copperheads – Real maturity about how she plays…Good deny defender…Smart passer…Shoots the three well…Nice showing
Kara Wehner – 2023 – 5-5 – Point Guard – Philadelphia Belles – Moves the ball efficiently…Stacks up some dimes…Went into showtime mode at the point at times…Hit several nice shots in the mid range…Super scrappy…Will pressure opposing PG’s for five second calls
Kelsey Wimmer – 2028 – 5-4 – Point Guard – MD Sting – Little sparkplug out there…Controls both the ball and her pace well for her early age…Floats through the air a bit to score
