No. 1 Allen aims for Texas Class 6A, Division I state championship; Blue Star Media Elite 25 high school football rankings winding down

1. Allen, Texas (15-0)

Previous rank: 1.

What happened: Defeated Skyline (Dallas), 52-34, in Class 6A Division I semifinals. Texas A&M-bound QB Kyler Murray threw for 406 yards and five TDs and rushed for 115 yards.

Next: Saturday vs. Cypress Ranch in Class 6A Division I final at AT&T Stadium, Arlington.

2. Bishop Gorman, Las Vegas (15-0)**

Previous: 2.

What happened: Won Division I state championship. Season complete.

3. De La Salle, Concord, Calif. (13-0)

Previous: 3.

What happened: Idle. The Spartans have won 23 straight sectional titles.

Next: Sarturday vs. No. 18 Corona Centennial in CIF Open Division final at the StubHub Center, Carson.

4. Booker T. Washington, Miami (14-0)**

Previous: 4.

What happened: Won Class 4A final. The win streak has reached 40 straight games with a chance at another game in the Burger King Bowl Series. Season complete.

5. Central, Miami (14-1)**

Previous: 5.

What happened: Defeated No. 9 Armwood (Seffner), 24-10, in Class 6A final. RB Anthony Jones rushed for 199 yards and scored the decisive TD with 4:51 left from 21 yards on third down to win it for the Rockets, the four-time state champions.

Next: Dec. 27 vs. TBA in Burger King Bowl Series in Boca Raton.

6. Colquitt County, Moultrie, Ga. (15-0)**

Previous: 6.

What happened: Defeated Archer (Lawrenceville), 38-24, in Class AAAAAA final. RB Sihiem King rushed for 125 yards and two scores as the Packers completed their unbeaten season since winning the state title in 1994. Season complete.

7. Folsom, Calif. (15-0)

Previous: 7.

What happened: Crushed previously undefeated Grant (Sacramento), 52-21, in Northern California Regional Division I final. Washington-bound QB Jake Browning, tossed for three TDs and 259 yards and caught one on a trick play. Browning is the nation’s all-time leading passer with 220 career TDs.

Next: Friday vs. Oceanside in Division I Bowl at StubHub Center, Carson.

8. St. Thomas Aquinas, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (14-1)**

Previous: 8.

What happened: Shut out Osceola (Kissimmee), 31-0, in Class 7A final. QB Jake Rizzo ran for a TD as the Raiders took a 17-0 lead at the break and put away the game with two TD passes in the second half. RB Jordan Scarlett ran 15 times for 1212 yards and a 39-yard TD. Season complete.

9. Armwood, Seffner, Fla. (15-1)*

What happened: Lost to No. 5 Central (Miami), 24-10, in Class 6A final. Season complete.

10. Buford, Ga. (15-0)**

Previous: 10.

What happened: Defeated St. Pius X Catholic (Atlanta), 55-10, in Class AAAA final. It was the Wolves 40th straight win and the 11th overall state championship and 10th in the last 14 years. Season complete.

11. Maryville, Tenn. (15-0)**

Previous: 11.

What happened: Won Class 6A state championship. Season complete.

12. South Panola, Batesville, Miss. (15-0)**

Previous: 12.

What happened: Won Class 6A state championship. Season complete.

13. Clarkston, Mich. (14-0)**

What happened: Won second consecutive Division 1 state championship. Season complete.
