Yvonne Sanchez

Highly regarded Yvonne Sanchez is wearing the Blue Star colors this summer. The veteran coach began her coaching career in 1993 serving as an assistant at New Mexico State, San Diego State and the University of New Mexico making double figure appearances in post season play over that time. In 2011 she slid into the head coaching position for the Lobo’s and notched two post season appearances over the next five seasons. A 21 and 13 record in 2014 – 15 earned Sanchez Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year honors. A New Mexico native, she and her three dogs still call the “Land of Enchantment” home.
