TAMPA, FL – More than 130 players from over 30 states converged upon Tampa for the 2021 Blue Star All-American Camp, and it’s safe to say that the future of the game is in good hands, coast to coast.
This is the second year of the camp’s return, and with so much talent in the gym, there was more than enough to see. The nation’s top evaluators and media sources took notice and made the Wire Grass Sports Complex a key stop on their August schedule as well. Players from the 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes got quality instruction and coaching, tons of valuable information on topics ranging from recruiting to nutrition, and of course, the opportunity to compete on a big stage against elite competition.
Just as with last year’s camp, the coaching staff and evaluators took notice of some standout young ladies who were moved over to the Blue Star 30 Camp on Sunday. Congratulations to Kailah Correa, Addison Deal, Renita Harris, and Aubrey Stevenson for earning that opportunity to be the newest members of the #30sisterhood.
There was a great mix of older, established players who are already sorting through college offers, and younger, up-and-coming talent just starting down their own paths. Many of the players were selected based on their performance at last fall’s Rising Blue Star nationwide camp series. The same process will feed the 2022 Blue Star All-American Camp next summer. More information on this fall’s camp series can be found online at https://risingbluestar.com/
