Buzz Williams upset over A & M NCAA Snub

PITTSBURGH– The NCAA Tournament gets underway in full force today.

But Texas A & M will be nowhere to be found.
The Aggies were left out of the bracket when it was announced Sunday and are currently participating in the NIT
It didn’t take A & M coach Buzz Williams long to express dissatisfaction with the selection committee. claiming only four teams that had more SEC wins than his team made the big dance as high seeds.
Williams, who said he was “completely devastated and heartbroken” called the selection process “obviously flawed and he believes the system is broken.
“The process is obviously flawed, and it is apparent that there is way more included that is unseen and unknown in the selection of the 36 at large teams than what the public is made aware of,” Williams said.
Williams’ words resonated with college fans and mid-major programs, and many are praising Williams for standing up against the machine.
The Aggies (23-12) won three straight games in the SEC tournament, beating both top 4 seeds Auburn and Arkansas and narrowly missed automatically qualifying when they lost to Tennessee in the title game. But, on the other side, there was a point during the reason when the Aggies lost nine out of 10 games
We wish the committee meetings were more transparent and there had been room for A & M and the SEC hasn’t helped itself either by playing its championship game Sunday instead of Saturday when the committee would have been more time to evaluate the board
