BENSALEM, Pa. — This just in from Paragon Marketing:

“Regretfully we have made the decision to officially cancel the 2020 GEICO Nationals due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
We are recognizing and celebrating the teams who qualified for the tournament by revealing the field and brackets.
Shout out and congratulate these teams and athletes in the comments! Beginning on Thursday, check our story to vote in a #GEICONationals tournament simulation,” the statement read today on company’s Instagram account.

To no one’s surprise the GEICO Nationals that were originally scheduled for April 2-4 in New York and then shifted last month to Dorman High School in Roebuck, South Carolina are cancelled. Paragon, who organizes the event, will aim for 2021.

My last ballot had these eight boys’ teams in: Montverde Academy, Oak Hill Academy, Sunrise Christian Academy, Dorman, La Lumiere, defending champions IMG Academy, Prolific Prep and Wasatch Academy.

The girls’ field might have looked like this: Bishop McNamara, Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, Lake Highlands Prep and Westlake.
