Georgia school enters Blue Star Media Elite 25 football rankings; No. 9 Southlake (TX) Carroll records defining victory
BENSALEM, Pa. – Things are starting to heat up in the Blue Star Media Elite 25 high school football national rankings.
The playoffs are a reality in some states while others are on the cusp of the postseason. Only one team checks into the Elite 25, No. 23 Grayson (Loganville, Ga.), who is Georgia’s second-ranked Class AAAAAA club. This weekend the Rams have their hands full with Dacula in a contest that should decided the regional championship.
Besides Grayson’s showdown in Georgia, there are three other games that will tease the senses: No. 3 DeSoto (Texas) hosts Cedar Hill and No. 18 Mentor travels to Hudson, both on Thursday; while No. 11 Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) visits their archrivals Bergen Catholic (Oradell) on Saturday afternoon. In Ohio, Mentor’s game is a matchup between the state’s top two Division I teams.
The Blue Star Media Elite 25 rankings return October 27 with the eighth weekly installment. In the meantime, there are plenty of games to choose from, please support your local schools. Hope to see you at a game soon. – Christopher Lawlor
