HOTLANTA HOOPS: Georgia’s capital city welcomes 2023 UA Next Elite 24 All-Star Games on August 12th; rosters for boys’ and girls to be announced this summer

ATLANTA — The UA Next Elite 24 grassroots basketball showcase is headed to the Peach State.

After relaunching last August along Chicago’s scenic lakefront, UA Next Elite 24 returns to the backdrop of Midtown Atlanta.

The 13th edition of the country’s premier showcase for 48 of the nation’s elite boys and girls prep standouts will take place at Atlantic Station on Aug. 12.

The second annual girls’ game is 6 p.m. EDT and will be followed by the boys at 8. Both games are on ESPNU.

“The cultural hotbed of Atlanta and the vibe that is synonymous with UA Next Elite 24 go hand in hand,” said Sean Eggert, Under Armour Senior Vice President of Global Sports Marketing. “After what was an overwhelming success on Chicago’s lakefront last year, we aimed for an even greater experience this year and can’t wait to bring all the elements together for what promises to be a memorable experience for 48 of the top high school stars in the country.”

The calling card of each edition of UA Next Elite 24 has been its dynamic outdoor setting in basketball hotbeds across the country, including Rucker Park in Harlem, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Venice Beach in Los Angeles, and Northerly Island on Chicago’s lakefront last year and the 2023 edition will be no exception.

Opened in 2005, Atlantic Station is a 138-acre neighborhood that is home to single-family residences, apartments, condos, hotels, popular retail locations and prominent businesses, and hosts more than 300 events annually.

Rosters for the UA Next Elite 24 will be announced at a later date.
