Mock NCAA brackets (Friday afternoon 5 p.m.).

Connecticut, Syracuse, Florida, Michigan and UCLA have been regulars in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. But all of them look like they may be on the outside looking in when the officials announcements are made on Selection Sunday. Most of the slots in this 68-team event have been filled. Bubble teams Miami, Texas, Tulsa and Murray State will have to hold their breath, hooping for the best. There is always the possiblity spoilers like Buffalo and Rhode Island could earn their way in by winning championships in the MAC and Altantic 10 tournaments.

Here’s a mock selection as of Frdiay at 5 p.m.
