BENSALEM, Pa. – For the third time this season the Blue Star Media Elite 25 girls’ basketball rankings have a new No. 1. This week it’s Mount Notre Dame (Cincinnati) that ascends to the top spot.

And two spots opened with No. 10 Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.) and No. 14 Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, N.Y.) sliding in. Actually, McNamara is back after an impressive week that saw it top two nationally ranked teams, including previous top ranked Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.) in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.

Both teams recorded key victories last weekend at the Blue Star High School Invitational in Philadelphia.

The Blue Star Media Elite 25 rankings return on January 15.
