Going into today’s quarterfinal match-up with Michigan, Nebraska stood 22-9 with a 13-5 Big Ten mark.

In most years, the fourth-place team in the Big Ten would be a lock for an NCAA birth.

With only one prospective victory over an NCAA tournament-worthy team, Nebraska is going to have find a way to beat the Wolverines, for a second time this season. This is a different Michigan team than the one, Nebraska beat in January.

Michigan is playing it’s best basketball having won 6 in-a-row. Unlike past Michigan teams, this one is an elite defensive team with an improving offense.

Nebraska has the size and build of a tournament team. The pressure will solely be on the ‘Huskers shoulders.

The MSG crowd is predominantly maize and gold with a splatter of red sprinkled in.

Michigan comes out strong led by Moe Wagner and Muhammad-Ali Abudur-Rahkman. With 3:25 left in the first half, Michigan holds a 30-15 advantage. The Michigan spacing and passing has been on display. Their ability to stretch the Nebraska defense has led to Michigan rebound opportunities. Nebraska has been on it’s heels most of this first half.
