BENSALEM, Pa. – The Blue Star Media Elite 25 High School Football rankings returned after a month off, which included the preseason. For most national programs they have played two or three games and that gives the Elite 25 a better feel.

There have been a slew of changes and five additions. The biggest drop was preseason No. 2 DeSoto (Texas), which dropped out after two losses. Another Texas school, No. 4 Euless Trinity enters the rankings, making the biggest splash moving into a lofty position.

The next set of Elite 25 rankings will appear on Sept. 15. There many marquee games this weekend with some schools debuting at home. It’s never too early to build a postseason resume by springing an upset. Support your local high school. With that in mind, we hope to see you at game soon. – Christopher Lawlor
