COLUMBUS, Ohio—The talent in the state of Ohio just keeps getting better and better and no one showcases that talent like Ohio Girls Basketball Report (OGBR).  The 19th Annual Top 64 featured over 350 players from the Buckeye State and despite the “boycott” of the fall evaluation period there were still 106 college coaches in attendance throughout the weekend giving the Top 64 an impressive 1:4 coach-to-player ratio.

Mark Lewis, lead columnist for Blue Star Media, summed up the “Boycott” best in the opening paragraph of his coverage from the Show and Prove Showcase in Daytona Beach last weekend:

The Top 64 kicked off with the uncommitted 2017 class playing in the first session on Saturday. The second session Saturday evening featured the 2020 and 2021 classes combined and playing together. Always a special session, for many of the players it’s their first OGBR event. In typical Top 64 fashion, Tom Jenkins and staff did a great job of preparing the new players mentally for the road ahead and how to approach the college recruiting process.

Sunday featured two sessions of a mixed group from the 2018 and 2019 classes.  With the deep talent pool in the 2018-2021 classes we’ll focus our quick hitters on players who caught our eye that were not previously highlighted in April or July followed by the uncommitted seniors from the 2017 class that might have had an impressive performance.
