Rhule Out an NFL Panthers’ Coach

NCAA College Football

I really thought Matt Rhule was the real deal when he was coaching Temple,, He was a beloved figure at that Philadelphia school in 2015 when the Owls went 10-2 defeated Penn State, before a sellout crowd of 69,741 at the Linc then played Notre Dame competitively for four quarters during a prime time game before another sellout crowd at home that started with Game Day visiting Independence Hall. The Owls advanced to the American’s first ever title game that year. Rhule was offered jobs at Syracuse and Missouri that year, but stayed put. His team won the championship the next year before he left for a similar position at Baylor.

Rhule certainly the best coach at Temple since Hall of Famer Wayne Hardin

Rule was just as popular at Baylor, where he turned a scandal pleagued program around. by his third year at Waco, finishing the regular season at 11-1 before losing to Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game and Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. .
Rhule was considered a hot commodity when he left for the head coaching job with the Carolina Panthers. But he never recaptured the magic when he moved up to the NFL.
Rhule was fired by the Panthers following a 35-17 home loss to San Francisco after a 1-4 start in his third season .Rule was 11-27 when the ax fell. rule will be replaced on an interim basis by secondary coach Steve Wilks the Panthers owe Rhule $40 million after the firing.. Rhule’s ultimate downfall came because of his decision involving quarterbacks, going from Teddy Bridgewater to Sam Darnold to Cam Newton. This year, he brought in Baker Mayfield, who has been a disaster.
The 47-year old Rhule was built  to coach in college and his name has already been linked to Power 5 programs like Wisconsin and Nebraska should take a long look
