MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The 2020 Rising Blue Star/Blue Star Combine camp circuit opened last weekend in Minneapolis.
Each year, the Rising Blue Star team crisscrosses the country holding the combine-style workouts for young girls’ basketball players. The event has traditionally been geared towards the future of the game in the middle school age groups. But last year, Blue Star owner Mike Flynn announced the addition of the Blue Star Combine event for high school players, with both events running in over 30 cities.
Additionally, Flynn created Blue Star Saturday, a free event held in conjunction with the Women’s NCAA DI Final Four in April, that will feature players invited from the Rising Blue Star/Blue Star Combine camp series. Prior to this year’s COVID cancellation, nearly 500 players were slated to attend the inaugural Blue Star Saturday event in New Orleans. That event will have to wait until April, 2021 in San Antonio to make its much-awaited debut, but the RBS team is in the gym this fall as much as possible, and looking for the best and brightest stars from all over the country.
This fall’s schedule got a delayed start due to the ongoing pandemic, however more than 15 cities are coming up on the calendar. For more info and to get signed up for a city near you, here’s the link to the website:
