BENSALEM, Pa. – There are no additions to the Blue Star Media Elite 25 high school football rankings.

The playoffs have started in most states. This weekend the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 postseason starts in southern California. Florida, Georgia and Texas will follow in the next two weeks.

The Blue Star Media Elite 25 football rankings will return on November 7. Enjoy Halloween and Thursday is a day of remembrance for those who have faithfully departed (All Soul’s Day).

The playoffs are in full swing in most states with a few left from the Southland Region remaining. Postseason atmosphere is always exciting. Everyone is playing for their lives. Should be a fun journey these next few weeks.

1. St. John Bosco, Bellflower, Calif. (10-0)

Recap: Defeated Servite (Anaheim), 56-0. The Braves pitch their third shutout of the season.

2. Allen, Texas (8-0)

Recap: Defeated Boyd (McKinney), 66-7. QB Grant Tisdale tossed four TD passes as the Eagles won for the 24thconsecutive time and clinched a berth in the Class 6A playoffs. Two games are left in the regular season, including this weekend’s Homecoming.

3. Mater Dei, Santa Ana, Calif. (8-2) #

Recap: Defeated Orange Lutheran, 45-7.

Next: Friday at Valencia in CIF-Southern Section Division 1 first round.

4. Carol City, Miami Gardens, Fla. (7-2) @

Previous: 4.

Recap: Defeated then-No. 10 Central (Miami), 36-28. The Chiefs led 16-0 in the first quarter en route to clinching the District 16-6A title. Last week, the Chiefs had to forfeit two early season non-district wins for playing two ineligible players.

5. Colquitt County, Norman Park, Ga. (9-0)

Recap: Crushed Tift County (Tifton), 45-7.

Recap: For the second straight week, the Huskies scored at least 80 points, this time they rang up King (Riverside), 84-14.

8. De La Salle, Concord, Calif. (10-0)

Recap: Blanked California High (San Ramon), 49-0. The Spartans opened the regular season with a shutout and now close it with one.

9. Warren Central, Indianapolis (10-0)

Recap: Defeated Ben Davis (Indianapolis), 49-28, in Class 6A Sectional 6 semifinals. QB Jayden George completed 14 of 18 passes for 278 yards and three scores, including two to WR David Bell. RB Romeir Elliott ran for 207 yards and three TDs.

Recap: Defeated Villa Rica, 62-7. RB Jamious Griffin, a North Carolina State recruit, rushed for five TDs and surpassed 2,000 yards for the season.

Recap: The Cardinals completed a perfect regular season, shutting out Lakota West (West Chester Township), 49-0. Ivan Pace Jr. and Syncere Jones each scored two TDs. Jaylen Thomas added a 10-yard, pick-six in the second quarter.

19. St. Joseph’s Prep, Philadelphia (7-0)

Recap: Defeated Archbishop Ryan (Philadelphia), 48-17. Sophomore QB Kyle McCord threw three TD passes and ran 1-yard for another.
