Texas Blows Away Oklahoma in Red River Shootout.

NCAA College Football
The Red River Shootout between Oklahoma and Texas is normally must see TV.
But not Saturday.
Texas layed a beat down on the Sooners, 49-0, in Dallas, scoriing  the most points in this history of this series.
And the unranked Longhorns did it against a Brent Venables’ coached team. Venables was the architect of some great defenses as a defensive coordinator at Clemson.
But he is now 3-3 and 0-3 in the Big 12.
Granted, rising star quarterback Caleb Williams has transfered to USC to play for Lincoln Riley, who coached him ilast year n Norman as a freshman. And Dillion Gabriel, a three year starter for Central Ftorida who replaced Wlliams, was out with concussion protocol. .
But still.
Quinn Ewers, an Ohio State transfer who was a one-time prep star at Austin Westlake, completed 14 of his first 16 passes, threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns after missing three games with injury. Bijan Robinson rushed for 130 yards and two touchowns and tight end Ja Tavion Sanders had two TD catches for the Longhorns (4-2) who rollled up 595 yards total offense during this embarrassingly easy win in front of a sellout crowd of 92,100 at the Cotton Bowl, the worst blowout in the history of the 100-year rivalry. The Sooners, who started Pitt transfer Davis Beville at quarterback but ran a lot of wildcat offense, may have started the season in the Top 10, but they finished with just 139 yards overall. Texas had two 90 yard scoring drives in the first quarter and Sooner fans were seen heading for the exits long before the fourth quarter.
This is a team spiraling out of control in a wide open league that is currently being dominated by Oklahoma, TCU and Kansas,  Unless things change drastically, the move to the SEC could be a nightmare.
