BENSALEM, Pa. – So with the clock ticking on the regular season, the Blue Star Media Elite 25 football rankings took a bit of a hit. Four teams are dropped, including one that resided in the top-10. The four that enter are undefeated and top-ranked in their respective states.

No. 22 Christian Brothers College (St. Louis); No. 23 Male (Louisville, Ky.); No. 24 Homewood-Flossmoor (Ill.) and No. 25 Columbus (Miami) are the newbies.

There are several appealing games involving Elite 25 teams but here are five that should be impactful come Friday night: Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) at No. 1 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas); DeSoto (Texas) at No. 8 Cedar Hill; Converse Judson at No. 14 Cibolo (Texas) Steele; Gardendale (Ala.) at Clay-Chalkville (Pinson) and Booker T. Washington (Miami) at No. 25 Columbus (Miami).

The next Blue Star Media Elite 25 rankings will appear October 27. Until then please support your local high schools and perhaps we’ll see you at a game soon. – Christopher Lawlor
