USA Basketball Men’s U18 FIBA Americas Championship Team features 27 athletes for training camp later this month

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The USA Basketball Men’s U18 FIBA Americas Championship National Team will feature 27 athletes who will attend the training camp later this month in Houston.

And it’s a talented group. Expect the cut down to 12 roster spots to be difficult for the coaches but rewarding for the athletes who will wear the coveted Red, White and Blue jersey. The camp is slated to run May 26-June 2.

The USA Basketball U18 National Team will compete at the 2022 FIBA U18 Americas Championship in Tijuana, Mexico, from June 6-12.

Training camp participants and coaches were selected by the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team Committee and will represent the high school graduating classes of 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Representing the class of 2021 is Corey Floyd.

The class of 2022 will be represented by Mark Armstrong, Amari Bailey, Anthony Black, Eric Dailey Jr., Dior Johnson, Ty Rodgers, Nick Smith Jr., Seth Trimble, Jordan Walsh, Kel’el Ware and Cam Whitmore.

Bailey was also a member of the 2019 USA Basketball U16 National Team that compiled a 6-0 record en route to the gold medal at the FIBA Americas Championship.

Additionally, Bewley, Booker, Carlyle, Collier, Garrison, Jackson, McCain, Walter and Warren all participated at the 2022 USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team minicamp in New Orleans last month.

The U18 National Team coaching staff, which will be led by University of Colorado’s Tad Boyle.
