USA Basketball tabs 85 players for upcoming Junior Men’s National Team minicamp; heavy presence from Class of 2025

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Get ready for the next generation of talent pushing upwards for the USA Basketball Junior Men’s National Team.

USA Basketball announced 85 athletes will participate in a USA Basketball Junior National Team minicamp from Oct. 6-8 at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.

Minicamp participants will represent the high school graduating classes of 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027. Players and coaches were selected by the USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team Committee.

In addition to on-court drills and scrimmages, athletes will participate in a series of educational programs presented by USA Basketball, the NCAA and the NBA Player Development Program focused on NCAA eligibility and life skills.

“USA Basketball is excited about the elite group of players attending the junior national team minicamp,” said Sean Ford, committee chair and USA Basketball’s Men’s National Team director. “It’s a pleasure to welcome back several gold medalists and athletes from junior national teams programming over the last three summers, as well as introduce a group of young, talented players into the program.”

The Class of 2027 features Lincoln Cosby, Babatunde Oladotun and Darius Wabbington.

The group features 56 players with USA Basketball experience, either from a previous competition or training camp, while remaining 29 are newbies to the training camp.
