COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—It’s been a busy five days at the United States Olympic Training Center for USA Basketball.  Two age groups have been in their selection process with trials for both the U17 (World Championship – Minsk, Belarus) and the U18’s (FIBA Americas – Location TBA). The U17’s narrowed their group of hopefuls to 18 athletes this morning and will pare it down to the final 12 before the finish of training camp Wednesday evening.  Follow the link below to see all 18 finalists.

The U18’s just announced their team this evening.  The roster is made up of 10 members of the 2018 graduating class and a pair of 2019’s. Eight states got into the mix with Texas being home to three members while Georgia and Ohio each claim two. The 2018’s also claim seven McDonald’s All-Americans in the line-up.

Mark Lewis is a national evaluator and photographer for Blue Star Basketball as well as the lead columnist for Blue Star Media. Twice ranked as one of the top 25 Division I assistant coaches in the game by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), he logged 25 years of college coaching experience at Memphis State, Cincinnati, Arizona State, Western Kentucky and Washington State. Lewis serves as a member of the prestigious McDonald’s All-American selection committee as well as the Naismith College Player and Coach of the Year committees.
