One of USA Basketball’s Youth Development initiatives, the USA Basketball Regional Skills Development Camps combine on-court skills training and scrimmages with off-court education sessions. Players learn from national team caliber coaches and staff.

USA Basketball Youth Development regional skills camps are designed to increase participation and the quality of the sport by allowing athletes of all skill levels to develop their game in a competitive and fun environment. The goal of regional skills camps is to further spread the USA Basketball National Team reach throughout the United States by allowing more athletes to be evaluated and learn the USA Basketball philosophy.

The 2016 Indianapolis girls camp will feature Olympian Jill Rankin Schneider (Monterey H.S., Texas) as the lead clinician. In addition to serving as the lead clinician for the 2015 USA Basketball East Region Skills Development Camp, Schneider led USA Basketball teams to gold medals at the 2011 FIBA Americas U16 Championship and the 2012 FIBA U17 World Championship and she was head coach of the 1982 USA Select Team that played in Bolivia. As a USA Basketball athlete, Schneider was a 1979 FIBA World Championship gold medalist and a 1980 U.S. Olympian. She also won gold at the 1980 FIBA Olympic Qualifier, silver at the 1979 Pan American Games and gold at the 1979 R. William Jones Cup. She played collegiately at Wayland Baptist College (1978-79) and the University of Tennessee (1979-80) and was named a Kodak All-American and a Wade Trophy finalist at both schools.
