COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –  The USA Nike Hoop Summit Team is good to go.

Ten players who have captured at least one gold medal and 12 athletes ranked among the top-53 players from the Class of 2019, USA Basketball were announced for the 22nd annual Nike Hoop Summit on April 12 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. 

The team features:  Cole Anthony (Oak Hill Academy, Va), Vernon Carey Jr. (University School, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.),  De’Vion Harmon (Guyer, Denton, Texas), Matthew Hurt (John Marshall, Rochester, Minn.), Scottie Lewis (Ranney School, Tinton Falls, N.J.),  Tyrese Maxey (South Garland, Texas),  Justin Moore (DeMatha Catholic, Hyattsville, Md.), Wendell Moore Jr. (Cox Mill, Concord, N.C.),  Isaac Okoro (McEachern, Powder Springs, Ga.),  Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (IMG Academy, Bradenton, Fla.), Isaiah Stewart (La Lumiere School, La Porte, Ind.) and  James Wiseman (East, Memphis, Tenn.).

Nine players are from teams in the Blue Star Media Elite 25 and regional rankings.

The Nike Hoop Summit is an annual basketball game that pits top U.S. high school senior boys against a World Select Team comprised of elite international players who are 19 years old or younger. 

The World Select Team is expected to be announced in March and will draw players from FIBA Africa, FIBA Americas, FIBA Asia and FIBA Europe, with approved sanction of FIBA, the governing body of international basketball.

Lawlor, an award-winning writer, is a voting committee member and advisor for several national high school events, including the McDonald’s All-American Games.
