COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.–The pool was narrowed to 18 this morning from 41 for the chance to represent USA Basketball and the United States in the FIBA U17 World Championships later this month.  The trials began last Thursday with 139 participants and Friday morning USA Basketball will announce the 12 person roster headed to Zaragoza, Spain to defend the gold.  Following Monday’s second session the group of finalists was narrowed by one as Rellah Boothe (Ocala, Fla.) was named to the U18 squad competing in the FIBA Americas Championships in Chile next month.  Here are the 17 remaining players with images and evaluations from the action in the United States Olympic Training Center.
