HERSHEY, PA – Summer is upon us, and with the month of July on the horizon, we returned last weekend to the Chocolate Capital of the US for the 18th rendition of USJN’s Hershey National Showcase.

The Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex once again played host to plenty of sweet basketball action, as nearly 200 teams battled it out for four days. We joined media peers and more than 50 college coaches on hand for a lineup of young future stars as well as older, well-established players getting ready for the July evaluation period.

As always, USJN events are live scored, and all of the post event information can be found here:

In the 17U Division, Co-Champions were crowned as the Philadelphia Belles 17 Breanna Stewart and 16U EYBL squads will share the trophy.  Coach Andrea Peterson’s 16U squad in particular had to fight to get to the finals, battling the Carolina Elite 16’s in a highly entertaining and highly-contested, back and forth contest that was easily one of the best games all weekend. For the Breanna Stewart squad, it’s more of the same success as they set their sites on Indianapolis.

1OnNone Virginia’s 16U club capped off an undefeated showing, defeating a tough Philadelphia Belles 15 Falconiero squad who tested themselves against older competition all weekend.  The Virginia Belles claimed the 15U Title as they were able to hand the Philadelphia Belles 15 Maye their lone loss on the weekend.  A total team effort and solid, fundamental play were also the staples for the New Jersey Belles 14U team, as they found themselves on Victory Row Tuesday, posing with the trophy

The final 4 in the 13U Division was loaded, and it was the Mid Atlantic Magic and the Jersey Cardinals Klinger who fought their way into the finals. In the end, it was the Cardinals who came out on top between two teams that are no stranger to each other. The PA Sparks made a statement bringing home both the 12U and 11U titles in Hershey. The 12U runner-ups were the Philadelphia Belles LaRubbio, and the 11U silver went to the JKMBA Jaguars.
