2013 National Holiday Invitational Conference & Classic

Twenty of the Washington D.C. area and nation’s top high programs were divided into three brackets. During the mornings, teams spent time together off the court in various seminars and workshops on topics that included “Digital Do’s and Don’ts for Players with a Purpose” and “Title IX Protections Against Bullying and Harassment”. The four day event was highlighted by a banquet for the teams and their families. Once the teams took the court fans in the nation’s capital were treated to competitive games  featuring top varsity talent.

Noteable Performances

Riverdale Baptist’s guard Chania Ray turned in an outstanding performance during the championship game against Capital Christian Academy.  During a key stretch of the 1st half the Florida State commit scored, forced turnovers and steals which set the tone for the rest of the game.  The Bullis School didn’t win a game but their freshmen prospects 5-8 Hunter Rowser and 6-1 Victoria  Crawford caught the eye of college scouts. The top scorer in the tournament was Friendship Collegiate sophomore guard Keiche White, she is dynamic and explosive off the bounce and almost impossible to guard one-on-one.
