Twenty of the Washington D.C. area and nation’s top high programs were divided into three brackets. During the mornings, teams spent time together off the court in various seminars and workshops on topics that included “Digital Do’s and Don’ts for Players with a Purpose” and “Title IX Protections Against Bullying and Harassment”. The four day event was highlighted by a banquet for the teams and their families. Once the teams took the court fans in the nation’s capital were treated to competitive games featuring top varsity talent.

Chloe Jackson 2014 Guard – Riverdale Baptist (Upper Malboro, Md.) North Carolina State – She was virtually impossible to stop from scoring no matter what defense she faced. in the 1st round game she took over for Riverdale Baptist saving them from a potential 4th quarter collapse against South Medford.
Mink Bracket All Tournament Team
Adel Allen 2014 Guard – Capital Christian Academy (Md.) – Quick fiesty guard who leaves it all on the floor. Currently she is unsigned but she would a nice addition to a college program looking for a floor general.
Khalia Prather 2014 Post – Riverdale Baptist (Upper Malboro, Md.) Miami – Turned in a dominate performance in the paint with her ability to attack the basket and rebound in traffic.
Brion Hughey 2014 Point Guard – Capital Christian Academy (Md.) Towson – One of the best handlers in the tournament she was able to push the tempo for her team.
Camden Musgrave 2014 Guard – Elizabeth Seton (Bladensburg, Md.) – The uber- athletic guard was able slash and create as well as score from long range.
Green Bracket MVP
Kristina King 2014 Post – New Hope Christian (Thomasville, NC) West Virginia – Using her mobility and length she was blocked and altered tons of shots. She was able to score facing or with her back to the basket.

Kiana ‘Lucky’ Rudd 2016 Guard – New Hope Christian (Thomasville, NC) – The sophomore combo guard was steady and smooth, she create numerous scoring opportunities for her team and her self.
Katherine Harris 2014 Point Guard – New Hope Christian (Thomasville, NC) High Point – Tough, gritty guard displayed leadership and mental focus especially during the championship game.
Honesty Grayson 2018 Point Guard – Life Center Academy (NJ) – Skilled beyond her years, the 8th grader has the ability to handle the ball under pressure and attack the basket with ease.
Alexis Gray 2016 Point Guard – Georgetown Visitation (Washington, DC) – Great set of fundamentals, she sees the floor and understands how to anchor her team as a point guard.

Noteable Performances
Riverdale Baptist’s guard Chania Ray turned in an outstanding performance during the championship game against Capital Christian Academy. During a key stretch of the 1st half the Florida State commit scored, forced turnovers and steals which set the tone for the rest of the game. The Bullis School didn’t win a game but their freshmen prospects 5-8 Hunter Rowser and 6-1 Victoria Crawford caught the eye of college scouts. The top scorer in the tournament was Friendship Collegiate sophomore guard Keiche White, she is dynamic and explosive off the bounce and almost impossible to guard one-on-one.
Lisa Bodine is a national evaluator for Blue Star Media. A native of Queens, N.Y., she began her coaching career in 1993 with the NY Gazelles and has coached with D.C.-based Team Unique, as well as several high school programs. During her 30 years as a club and high school coach "The Godmother" has mentored many of the top players in the Mid-Atlantic region. Bodine runs The Godmother Sports Foundation which assists young athletes in need.
