Tip Drill From the TOC

CHANDLER, Ariz.—As 2014 counts down to its final buzzer we’re going to wrap up our coverage of the 2014 Nike Tournament of Champions with a quick look at some of the other standouts from last week’s event.  While it would be impossible to “see them all”, we saw plenty during our time in the Valley of the Sun.  Some are projects, some are college ready and some just caught our eye with some potential worth keeping an eye on.  As always this list is not always indicative of the “best” performances or the brightest futures, it’s just some folks who had some moments in the nation’s premier scholastic holiday tournament that we wanted to acknowledge.

Mark Lewis is a national evaluator and photographer for Blue Star Basketball as well as the lead columnist for Blue Star Media. Twice ranked as one of the top 25 Division I assistant coaches in the game by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), he logged 25 years of college coaching experience at Memphis State, Cincinnati, Arizona State, Western Kentucky and Washington State. Lewis serves as a member of the prestigious McDonald’s All-American selection committee as well as the Naismith College Player and Coach of the Year committees.
