The 7th Annual Title IX Holiday Invitational Classic at the D.C. Armory brought over forty domestic and international high school teams to the nation’s capital for 4 days of basketball and other related events.

Day 1 Players of the Day

Chanelle Molina 5-6 2016 Guard – The temperature and time change didn’t seem to bother the Washington State commit, as she lead Konawaena(HI) with 25 points in a close loss to Forestville(MD). Molina was able to get her shot off at crucial points in the game as the Wildcats made a 4th quarter run. Surely, she would have preferred a win but she gained some new east coast fans who cheered every time she touched the ball.

Anissa Rivera 6-0 2019 Guard – Even though the Forestville(MD) wing had a quiet offensive first half she was able to make an impact defensively. Her length and speed allowed her to shrink the court against Konawaena’s precision passing offense. Late in the game Rivera was unstoppable when attacking the basket and had a blocked shot that brought the fans to their feet.
